Detection Devices – Bite Size

Detection Devices are components used to detect intrusion and may also at times be referred to as sensors.

They must be capable of reliably detecting intruders and exhibit a high resistance to false activations. This module will cover the basics of detection devices and hold up intruder alarms.

Specifically, this Bite Size course will look at what detection devices are, their role, perimeter detection, volumetric detection, system grading, environmental classes, supervision, detection device technologies, operation, installation, false alarm management and sequential confirmation.
